Same-Day Delivery for Online Sellers: Vinted, Etsy, Depop and Shopify Guide

Each platform creates a slightly different delivery problem: Vinted and Depop sellers often deal with bulky items — furniture, prams, large clothing lots — that don't fit the platform's integrated postage labels, and local same-day delivery to a nearby buyer can be cheaper and faster than posting. Etsy sellers with handmade or made-to-order items sometimes need to guarantee next-day or same-day delivery for a rush order, which standard Etsy shipping profiles don't handle well. Shopify store owners selling furniture, art, or larger goods need a real local delivery option at checkout, not just a flat-rate postage class built for small parcels.

In each case, a same-day courier isn't there to replace your everyday postage — it's there for the items and orders that fall outside what standard shipping can do.

Postage tracking numbers and platform-integrated labels are built around the assumption that an item is small enough to post and that next-day is fast enough. Neither is always true. A same-day courier makes more sense than standard postage when the item is too large or fragile to post safely (furniture, framed art, musical instruments, prams), when the buyer is local and same-day collection saves both parties time and postage cost, or when a sale falls through on timing — a buyer who needs the item for an event this weekend, for example.

For sellers running a shop as a side business, a same-day courier can also simply be a way to offer a premium delivery option at checkout without having to run the delivery yourself.

Can I book a courier for a one-off Vinted or Depop sale?
Yes — you don't need a business account for a single delivery, though sellers who use us regularly can set up an account for faster repeat bookings.

Can you deliver large items like furniture from a Shopify order?
Yes, including two-man delivery for bulky or heavy items where needed.

Do you provide proof of delivery for buyer disputes?
Yes, signed proof of delivery is provided as standard, which is useful if a buyer later disputes receiving an item.
